If you are currently at a loss of how to keep your kids from going stir-crazy at home, we have rounded up some out of the box activities for them to do!
1) Outside or inside scavenger hunt. You can find one online like this one, or make up your own! You can make it easy or hard depending on the ages of your children.
2) Fun with cardboard. Do you have empty boxes laying around your garage or basement? Time to pull them out and make them useful! Create a road and a city for hot wheels cars. Make a reading nook with Christmas lights with those larger boxes. How about turning them into a rocket ship or house? The possibilities are endless! Bonus, they can decorate the boxes with markers/crayons for hours of entertainment.
3) Take different boxes or baskets you have around the house and label them by colors. Have your children round up toys that match the colors and sort! This is a great learning activity!
4) Fun with water! When we are given a warm day get the water guns out! Attach letters to the house, garage, box, etc and have kids shoot water at the letter you call out!
5) Create a road on the floor with painters tape! Kids can use this as a road for their cars or a place to line up their toys!
6) Set up the tent in the basement and have a pretend to camp out.
