Happy Independence Day weekend! We wanted to post an update on where you can view the firework and where you can enjoy a few parades in honor of the 4th! Anchorage and surrounding areas are offering a few different events this year but please keep in mind to stay cautious and try and follow social distancing guidelines as much as possible.
Celebrate Independence Day Early in Eagle River. We will be celebrating on the 3rd of July 3. We will have food, entertainment, and games. We want to make the most of the extra daylight hours while we can. Fireworks will generally start when the sun starts to slowly set!
Celebrate in Girdwood Enjoy the Forest fair in nearby Girdwood with music, food, and crafts! You will have a great time in this wonderful little mountain town. The celebration starts on July 4th and goes through the 8th!
Celebrate the 4th in Seward! The party in Seward begins at 12:01 a.m. on July 4 with fireworks. The best part of this celebration happens the following morning the famous Mount Marathon! This course is far from easy: start downtown, run to the top of the 3,022-foot mountain, then run back to the finish!
